COVID-19 Update

June 10, 2020

Consistent with CuttingEdge’s SafeTIP safety culture, CuttingEdge strives to maintain the well-being of all who are working to fulfill our client’s construction needs and the communities in which we live and build, even amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite the rapidly changing conditions of COVID-19, we are working diligently to maintain a focus on executing our construction projects. A COVID Task Force was immediately created and began rethinking some of our usual construction strategies, especially as it relates to safety. Our Task Force, comprised of individuals from all disciplines that represent CuttingEdge, met virtually daily when COVID began to break, and will continue to meet regularly for the foreseeable future.

Through this collaborative effort, the CuttingEdge COVID-19 Jobsite Preparedness Plan was developed and issued to every employee and jobsite within the organization. The plan is essentially a detailed, easy-to-follow playbook for implementing CuttingEdge’s advanced operating procedures on the jobsite.

The Preparedness Plan includes the implementation of strategy that is proactively designed to protect people as well as the integrity of our projects. A summary of some of the steps include the following:

Office Staff

Per CDC and local government instructions, all office staff, both full and part time, are to work remotely. CuttingEdge has enhanced our remote office platform, which leverages our infrastructure to allow our personnel to directly manage or indirectly support our construction projects. Remote hardware has been matched with all field and office staff, increasing licensing and expanding our connectivity platform to support every CuttingEdge employee across our locations. Our employees are ready to continue operations to the greatest extent possible.

Field Staff & Jobsites

Enhanced operating procedures are being implemented on all jobsites to focus on site-related illness prevention. A sample of the procedures include:

These measures are being implemented in partnership with our subcontractors. We are asking all of our partners to implement similar measures that are consistent with CDC guidelines for the prevention of spreading COVID-19.
